Pink Long Island Cocktail

This bold, blush-colored, fruity pink Long Island cocktail is an instant favorite for most. A twist to a classic Long Island iced tea that uses pink lemonade for a tart and sweet flavor. 

It takes just a few ingredients to make and is perfect for a summer girl’s night, a weeknight drink to end a long day, or entertaining guests.

Ingredients Needed 

Sweet & Sour Mix – You can buy this as a cocktail mixer that adds a sweet-and-sour component to the drink. 

Pink Lemonade – Buy any brand of lemonade you would like, or feel free to make it from scratch. 

Alcohol: Rum, tequila, gin, and vodka are all used to create a bartender-approved cocktail that delivers true Long Island cocktail vibes. 

Triple Sec – A nice punch of flavor that is going to give a sweet and citrus flavor to the drink. If you don’t have triple sec, you can use a splash of orange juice instead.

Lemon Slices: You can garnish your drink with fresh lemon wedges.

 

1. In a cocktail shaker pour in the sweet & sour mix, pink lemonade, light rum, gin, tequila, vodka & triple sec. Shake well. 

2. Pour over ice & garnish with lemon slices.

FAQS

How strong is this cocktail? 

This recipe is very strong because you are using a variety of alcohols in a single drink.

You are welcome to reduce the amount of each alcohol to lighten it up if you would like. 

Can I make a pitcher for a party? 

Absolutely! This is a cocktail you can make by the glass or pitcher. Add the ice right before serving so it doesn’t water down your drink.

Feel free to line the rim of your glasses with sugar for added sweetness. 

Can I use spiced rum for this recipe? 

Yes, you are welcome to use spiced rum instead of Malibu if you would like.

I personally find the spiced rum will change the flavor a bit, but when in a pinch, go ahead and use it.
